Booking in three steps

  1. 01

    Check the couple price

Not every menu is offered to two people. The menu shown for each chef here is usually priced for a couple, so check the band before you compare.

  2. 02

    Pick the sit-down time

Say when you want to eat and whether you would like the courses spaced out, so arrival and prep can be planned around it.

  3. 03

    Tell the chef the reason

If it marks something, like a proposal or a tenth anniversary, write that in your request, together with anything either of you will not eat.

Good to know

What should two people budget for a private chef in LA?

LA date-night and anniversary bookings ran a median of $248 a guest at a typical table of 2, usually $200 to $290, about $496 for the night.

How close to the date can we book a dinner for two?

In LA, half of date-night bookings arrived within 8 days of the dinner. For a fixed date like Valentine’s Day, ask earlier.

Can we book a chef for an anniversary?

Yes. 36 LA bookings since 2024 mentioned an anniversary. Tell the chef which one it is if you want the menu to mark it.

What does the chef need from our kitchen?

Let them know what you have: oven, number of burners, and space to plate. If you are in a rental with a small kitchen, mention it when you book.
