Meet Mildred
I’m Chef Mildred “Mily” Moreno, born and raised in Guerrero, Mexico, where my love for authentic flavors and family traditions began. My passion for cooking is deeply inspired by my mother, Doña Karina, whose recipes and spirit continue to guide my work today.
With over 20 years of culinary experience, I’ve mastered the art of prehispanic corn tamales, maize preparation, and traditional mango and vegetable-based dishes, combining these time-honored techniques with modern, global influences.
After moving to the United States in 2005, I continued to build upon my roots, learning from diverse culinary cultures while preserving the essence of my Mexican heritage. My mission is to craft food that not only delights the palate but also tells a story — one that celebrates family, culture, and the joy of sharing.
Cooking, for me, is more than a profession — it’s an act of love and creativity. Every dish I prepare carries a part of my history, my family, and the flavors that shaped who I am as a chef and as a person.
